  The Consumer Electronics Industry:
     This industry has mutated and grown into a planet-wide force that shows off it's best creations once a year at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas every January (you always see interesting news items about cool gadgets on TV after Christmas). What used to be STEREO and TV now fill thousands and thousands booths offering everything from software to navigation systems to computers to turntables (yup, they still exist). CES is where we learn about all the new products for the coming year, plus some interesting "concept" gear is usually on display if you know where to look.

     A child organization was formed in 1989 to represent the growing field of custom installation, called CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association) which focuses on training the members in all aspects that connect to our industry. Soundwaves' owner, Darren Grebe has been CEDIA Certified Level II Installer for 3 years and plans on continuing his education to keep up with the breakneck speed of electronic entertainment evolution.

      Soundwaves of New England is a member of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod, the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts and the National Association of Home Builders.
